The 5th International Symposium on New Energy and Electrical Technology (ISNEET 2024) has successfully concluded in Hangzhou.


The 5th International Symposium on New Energy and Electrical Technology (ISNEET 2024) (hereinafter referred to as the Symposium) was held in Hangzhou Wanshang International Rezen Hotel. The Symposium was collaboratively organized by the Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Electric Power, the China Jiliang University (CJU) and the Xi'an Shiyou University (XSPU). The organizers are included: the School of Electrical Engineering, Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Electric Power, the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of China Jiliang University and the School of Electronic Engineering of the Xian Shiyou University. Simultaneously, the Symposium received great support from several esteemed institutions, including the Zhejiang-Belarus Joint Laboratory of Intelligent Equipment and System for Water Conservancy and Hydropower Safety Monitoring, the Key Laboratory of Logging and Directional Drilling affiliated with China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), the Key Laboratory of Intelligent Equipment for Oil, Gas, and New Energy Development located in Xi'an City, the Hainan Institute of Zhejiang University, the Sanya Global Energy Research Institute, and the AEIC Academic Exchange Centre. The Symposium utilizes a hybrid format, incorporating both online and in-person elements, to create an effective platform for learning and communication among participants.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Guowang Gao, Deputy Dean of the Graduate School at Xi'an Shiyou University. Representing the organizing committee, Professor Shubin Yan, Deputy Dean of the College of Electrical Engineering at Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Electric Power, delivered an opening address, sincerely welcoming the presence of fellow leaders, experts, and scholars.

The Symposium convened several prominent scholars from the industry to present their conference reports. Notable participants included Professor Guoneng Li, Deputy Dean of the School of Mechanical and Energy Engineering and Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party Branch at the School of Energy and Environmental Systems Engineering, Zhejiang University of Science and Technology; Professor Zhen Dong, founder of Traceability Technology and Professor at Harbin Institute of Technology; Professor Hui Cai, Vice Dean of the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at China Jiliang University; and Professor Yongqiu Zheng, a recipient of the National Science Foundation for Excellent Young Scholars and Professor at North University of China. These distinguished experts shared their research findings and academic perspectives in their respective fields, which generated significant interest and lively discussions among the attending scholars, fostering a vibrant atmosphere of academic exchange.

The conference successfully drew experts and scholars from 30 universities and research institutions both domestically and internationally to engage in oral and poster presentations. Notable participants included the Technical University of Munich from Germany, the University of Johannesburg, and the University of South Africa from South Africa, as well as Xi'an Jiaotong University, Southwest Jiaotong University, the National Institute of Metrology of China, Northeastern University, Zhejiang University, Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, North Polytechnic University, Inner Mongolia University of Technology, and Tianjin University, among others. The countries represented encompassed China, Germany, and South Africa, among others.

At the closing ceremony, Professor Yan Shubin, Deputy Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering, Zhejiang Institute of Water Resources and Electric Power, on behalf of the organising committee, presented certificates to the scholars who won the ‘Best Paper’ award. In acknowledgment of their exceptional scholarly contributions, reflecting the academic community's esteem and support for advancements in scientific research.

The 5th International Symposium on New Energy and Electrical Technology (ISNEET 2024) has successfully concluded. This symposium has significantly enhanced communication and collaboration among scholars domestically and internationally while revitalizing the advancement of new energy and electrical science and technology. We eagerly anticipate reconvening next year to share our insights and efforts toward the growth and advancement of this field.
