Prof. Fushuan WenZhejiang University, ChinaIEEE FellowProfile: Professor Fushuan Wen obtained his BE and ME degrees in electrical engineering from Tianjin University, China, in 1985 and 1988 respectively. He earned his PhD degree from Zhejiang University, China, in 1991. Since joining the faculty of Zhejiang University in 1991, he has held the positions of full professor and director of the Institute of Power Economics and Information since 1997. Additionally, he has been serving as the director of Zhejiang University-Insigma Joint Research Center for Smart Grids since 2010. His research interests encompass various areas including power economics and electricity markets; power system investment, planning and operation optimization; smart grids and electric vehicles; power system alarm processing, fault diagnosis and system restoration; as well as artificial intelligence applications in power and integrated energy systems. Professor Wen's academic contributions are reflected through his extensive publication record with over 200 SCI-indexed papers, more than 670 EI-indexed papers, and over 760 Scopus-indexed papers. His publications have garnered over 16,500 citations to date. Professor Wen is a recipient of several prestigious awards at national level along with provincial level recognition including the highly esteemed National Natural Science Award of China. Moreover,his scholarly impact is evident through being listed among "Most Cited Chinese Researchers" by Elsevier for seven consecutive years starting from2015,and one of his academic papers was recognized as one of China's 100 Most Influential Domestic Academic Papers in 2016. Prof Wen serves as the editor-in-chief of Energy Conversion and Economics (SPERI, IET, Wiley), the deputy editor-in-chief of Journal of Automation of Electric Power Systems, a subject editor in power system economics for IET Generation, Transmission and Distribution, associate editor for Journal of Energy Engineering and Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy. He also sits on the editorial boards of more than 10 journals. Prof Wen held the position of General Chairman at the 2020 International Conference on Smart Grids and Energy Systems (SGES 2020), which took place from Nov. 23-26, 2020 in Perth, Australia. Additionally, he was elected as an IEEE Fellow in recognition of his contributions to fault diagnosis in power grids. |
Prof. Yi ZhangRTDS Technologies Inc, CanadaIEEE Fellow, CAE FellowProfile: Yi Zhang joined RTDS Technologies Inc. in 2000, where he now serves as Vice-President R&D and Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Dr. Zhang has over 31 years of experiences working in the area of power system simulation and analysis. His expertise includes the Real Time EMT Simulation, Voltage Stability and HVDC, etc. As a principle member of the RTDS development team, Dr. Zhang developed a number of power system models on RTDS Real Time Simulator in the past over 19+ years. At present, he leads the research and development activities in RTDS Technologies. Dr. Zhang obtained Ph.D. degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and The University of Manitoba. He also serves as an adjunct professor in the University of Manitoba in Canada and in Hunan University in China, and an editor of IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery. Dr. Zhang is a registered professional engineer in the province of Manitoba, a fellow of IEEE and a fellow of Canadian Academy of Engineering. |
