Professor, Yuntang Li

Profile: Professor Yuntang Li is a prominent figure in middle-aged and young disciplines within Zhejiang Province. He completed his master’s degree from Harbin Institute of Technology in July 2002, under the supervision of Academician Zongquan Deng, focusing on the development of dual-wheeled lunar rovers. Subsequently, in April 2007, he earned his Ph.D. at Shanghai Jiao Tong University under the supervision of Academician Han Ding. His primary research interests encompass gas-static bearings, inspection and maintenance robots for cable-stayed bridges, and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) power line inspections. Professor Li has assumed leadership roles in various research projects, including two National Natural Science Foundation of China (general) projects, one NSFC Youth Fund project, one sub-project of the National Key Research and Development Program, one key project of Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation, two general projects, and one public welfare project. Additionally, he has secured funding from two National Key Laboratory Open Fund projects and has been involved in numerous collaborative ventures with enterprises. Professor Li’s scholarly contributions comprise over 70 academic papers and more than 20 patents. He has played a pivotal role in achieving one second prize for technological progress in Zhejiang Province. In addition, he imparts knowledge in courses such as Detection Technology and Mechatronics System Design. His dedication to teaching excellence has contributed to the attainment of one special prize, one first prize, and three second prizes for teaching achievements in Zhejiang Province.
